There is a double standard in the way we treat ourselves and then others. We are normally way to harsh on ourselves (well, I am) forgetting, we are simply human beings. And if you think about it, if you ever treated another human being the way you treat yourself, it would be termed abusive.
please clarify this cause i don’t really understand.
but from what i’m getting, i think one of the most important double standards right now exists in gender. The expectations bestowed on the different genders, as well as the excuses we give the respective genders, nulling ones actions as ‘allowed’ & condemning the other.
I don’t know if that makes sense, but i’m sure you get my drift.
You’ll never find a girl like me again. You won’t know you’re looking for a girl like me, but you will always look for a girl like me. And that’s because your fuckedupness of letting me go will haunt you so much. You’re not even ready for the gravity of emotions coming your way. You’ll be so overwhelmed, you would have never expected to miss someone so much. I’m just so fucking amazing it kills that you let me go. And it’ll kill you. Not today, not tomorrow, but someday, it’ll kill you. It’ll hit you so hard and it’ll hit you all at once. And God help you the day it all hits you because you’ll beg me and I can not wait to shatter your ego. That ego. That fucking ego. This isn’t a life time curse, it’s just what’s going to happen. I won’t dismiss you on the grounds of dating someone else because I don’t need someone to fill a perceived illusion of a supposed whole in my heart, I will blatantly dismiss you on the grounds of not loving you anymore, knowing my worth and knowing you’re not worth my time, my effort, my love and most definitely, any bit of heartache."
not right now
